The outcomes of a million second chances doesn't ever change from the first one.

I was having a conversation with a friend the other day about how I tend to hold double standards when it comes to a guy that I like. Meaning that if he was to do something that if anyone else was to do, they would be *cut* and out of my life in the blink of an eye.. But for some reason, I'll always give out second and third chances to him, just in hopes that he'll change and thing's will get better..

It's stupid. And I know I should just be like "fuck that, and fuck him. I deserve better than what he's doing." But when it comes down to it, and I think that I might finally just give up on the idea of anything positive coming out of this 'relationship', and just moving on with my life... He comes back to me with an apology (that seems sincere, or maybe I just want to believe that it is..) and so I'll give in and give him another chance.

The scary thing is that I think when I do get to that fuck you stage, he realises that like with some kind of sixth sense and always manages to convince me that things are going to change, and be different and most importantly, be better.

Argh. This situation that I've gotten myself in for god knows how long, is such a stupidly hopeful and gullible move.. I just wish I could just tell my heart: quit it. move on. there are plenty more fish in the sea.. And actually take that advice seriously and do it.

i freaking LOVE good hair days/nights! :)

Lately, my go to hairstyle has been my second day curls.
I've been  loving them!! It looks so much better than the day/night that I curl them, because they've fallen a bit, so they look more natural and yeahh.. just generally better :) :)

My hair, when I've just curled it that day would look something like this:

and by the end of the next day, it looks something like this:

Which I absolutely ADORE! <3
I think it's also because the curls are more loose and big, so it tends to look more voluminous, which just reminds me of like the hair on VS models in the runways.

omg, it's 2:10AM and I'm still wide awake.. that large caramel latte in the middle of the night was a bad idea. lol i don't know how I'm ever going to get to sleep tonight. -.-

TGIF: day off! :)

So today's my day off from work and just everything else.. and I finally have some time to myself to relax and just hang out with myself. haha sounds pretty lame, but I actually cherish these moments that I get to have just to myself, and not worry about anything else.

So today, I've been pampering myself.
I made myself a mango smoothie, perfect for this (almost summer) weather.
And I've been pampering my skin as well...

I love face masks. They're the perfect thing to just let me relax for 20-40 minutes while I give my skin a treat.
Depending on what mood I'm in, I'll make my own face mask out of ingredients around my house like avocado and honey.

or when I can't be bothered, I'll just use one of the face masks sold in packets.
I like using ones that my aunty shipped from South Korea, because I think they're the best quality. and they make my skin feel AH-mazing!

bright lips for this spring and summer!

This is definitely a trend I've been seeing a lot lately.
and I LOVE IT!

Usually, I'm all about like nude, more natural looking lip colours.. But with the warmer weather coming up recently, I've been trying to expand my horizons (make up wise) and trying on my bold colours.
And by doing that, I've been keeping my eye makeup to a bare minimum, and keeping all the focus on my lips.

Here are some tips in pulling off this look..

  • Flawless skin. This season, there seems to be a real big emphasis on clear beautiful skin. So concealer/foundation/tinted moisturiser is a must.
  • Defined Brows. Bigger brows are back in style. And a lot of celebrities are opting for the more fuller brows. This can also give you a youthful look, and well defined brows are crucial to ensuring your makeup has that finished look.

chivalry isn't dead..?

I'm determined to find that one guy out there in the 21st Century, who still possess some chivalry characteristics.
Like you see it in movies all the time, but are there any men in real life, in todays society that are chivalrous? Who'll open a car door for me, offer to carry anything if I'm carrying heavy things, help me to my chair when we sit down at a restaurant or wherever, offer me their jacket if I'm cold, and hold doors open for me. Who knows...

I honestly want to believe that chivalry isn't dead in our society, well that at least there are some guys out there that'll do all those things listed above.
It's not too much to hope for right..? lol it's not like I'm asking for prince charming to come in his white stallion and whisk me off to some fairytale happy ending. I just want a guy that can treat you like a real lady, like with respect.. and that's something a real gentleman should do..

bring some colour into your eyes this winter!

this past week, the weather in Sydney has been terrible.. because it's been rainy and cloudy/dark pretty much the whole time.. And everything seems so dreary and dull.. So I decided, one rainy morning the other day.. that I wanted to wear some colour, just to perk my mood up a bit.. and this look is a pink/purple look that I think would look good on especially people with brown eyes, since purple is a colour that complements brown eyes.

I personally had so much fun wearing this look to uni that day, since usually I wear neutral colours like brown as my everyday makeup.. but I think it's always good to switch it up with some colours.

I suggest everyone to wear some colour this winter.. It really does brighten up your mood for the whole day :) :)

my favourite beauty product of july..

My Foundation Primer.

I never really wore foundation that frequently to feel the need to get a primer, but recently, I purchased a bunch of makeup from BHCosmetics.com and thought "why not try out their primers as well?", and since they were having a 30% off sale.. I decided to buy one...
and it is absolutely AMAZING!

As soon as I applied it onto my face, it instantly made my skin feel so much softer and smoother.. which I think had to do with the Vitamins A&E and Grapeseed Extract in it. And it made blending my foundation just so much easier.
I'm so happy with it, especially because I ended up getting the primer for only $13. Like what a steal!!
The only bad thing about ordering from BHCosmetics.com, was the shipping cost.. but I guess it was kind of reasonable, seeing as it was international.. hmm
Well I tried to save as much I could, by buying a whole bulk full of stuff from there. and because i spent over $50, I also got a pair of their fake eyelashes in "Flirt".
Originally, I went on to BHCosmetics.com to just buy one of their eyeshadow palettes since I've heard so many amazing reviews on it, especially the 120Colour Palettes.. but of course, I got distracted with all their other products. The 120 Eyeshadow colour palette (2nd Edition) is the one I ended up buying, and I'm in LOVE with it because the colours are so vibrant and pigmented.. and I can't wait to do some looks using them! :) :)

Makeup's always been one of my loves, but in the past couple of years.. I've really gotten into it. lol I don't see myself pursuing it as a future career path, but it'll always be one of my hobbies. I really think makeup can be used as a creative outlet.. just like artists use painting etc.

My addiction..

...to Hello Kitty.

Every time I do any online shopping and I see anything hello kitty related, and especially if that's in pink....
..my heart skips a beat,
..and I get super super excited,
..and I need to get it. no matter what it is.

Yeah, I know... not really a 'normal' addiction,
but then again, what addiction can be normal..?

Anyways... words cannot explain how much I love hello kitty!!! She's just so adorable and such a fashion icon haha. she be styling ;)

Life Lesson #1: Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover.

 Beauty is only skin deep.
A person's character and personality is more important than their outward appearance.
And if someone is beautiful on the inside (meaning that they have a kind heart), their inner beauty can shine through and show up on the outside.
The important thing is to get to know that person, and give them a chance to show their inner beauty.
Someone's appearance can change over time, but their personality is most likely going to stay the same for the rest of their lives.
